Auxey-Duresses

This side valley may be benefitting from global warming as the wines become less austere, eschewing the hard edge which Duresses might imply. The best reds are on the south-facing slopes while lovely fresh whites can be found near Meursault where the slope turns north, or at the far end of the valley. Value!
