Domaine Tawse

Updated Sep 2022

The backbone of the domaine lies in the acquisition of Domaine Maume (early vintages retained the name which was then modified to Maume by Tawse and now Domaine Tawse). These have since been supplemented by the addition of several holdings in the Côte de Beaune and the purchase of two small plots of Musigny.

The Domaine Tawse wines are overseen by Englishman Mark Fincham. He employs One third whole bunch for all the Côte de Beaune wines which are now quite numerous. Curiously both the Mazoyères- and Mazis-Chambertin are largely destemmed because Mark feels that the small compact bunches do not need an additional stem component.
