This is the other half of the Moreau family, who kept their share of the vineyards when the négociant company, J Moreau, was sold in 1985. Louis Moreau has been in charge since 1994. It is a bigger operation than Christian Moreau’s, totalling 50 hectares with premiers crus Vaulignot, Vaillons and Fourneaux, and grands crus Blanchot, Vaudésir, Valmur and Les Clos, including a half-share of the Clos des Hospices dans Les Clos. The family also have two other straight Chablis properties, Domaine du Cèdre and Domaine Biéville, a holding of 65 hectares in the commune of Viviers.

The wines are made in stainless steel, though the grands crus receive a whisker of barrel during maturation, but not during fermentation.
