Vineyard & Vigneron News June 2025

Domaine Faiveley
As part of the company’s 200th anniversary celebrations, Erwan and Eve Faiveley took the opportunity to announce the donation of 4 ouvrées (0.1ha) of Clos Vougeot to the Hospices de Beaune. This should amount to a yield of three barrels of wine in a normal vintage. The first vintage of the new Cuvée François Faiveley will be this year, 2025, and will bring a fourth Côte de Nuits Grand cru to the Hospices de Beaune range.
Separately, Domaine Faiveley have announced the acquisition of a very useful plot of 1.50ha of Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes.
Chablis
After negotiations through the SAFER organisation, Domaine Jean & Sébastien Dauvissat in Chablis (not to be confused with Domaine Jean Dauvissat Père & Fils down the road in Milly), has been sold to Jean-Claude Boisset. The domaine, if my previous information remains accurate, has excellent holdings of Grand Cru Les Preuses (0.75ha), 1ers Crus Montmains (1.76ha), Séchets (0.44) and Vaillons (3.43ha), and a holding of 4.28ha of Chablis. Boisset already own the Chablis negociant, J Moreau & Fils.
I understand that Théo, son of Jérôme Vocoret, is to take over the family firm, Domaine Vocoret & Fils.
