Cool and poised aromas of just ripe raspberry, dark cherry and cherry pit to start, with delicate earth, forest berries and forest floor beneath. The latter notes emerging more with air. A quiet wine, yet to fully unfurl. Similarly cool and suave on the palate with a lithe and mineral feel. Dark cherry, tart plum skin, and gentle earthy notes glide through the mouth before being encased in a wash of dark cherry acidity and svelte tannins to a long and clean finish. A lovely wine now, but the best is yet to come.
