The grapes for Super Nanny are picked from their favourite blocks, which may vary depending on the season, give longer hang time, longer cuvaison, a bit more new oak. The 2017 is 60% Gibbston fruit, then mostly Bannockburn, with 12% whole bunches. It is gorgeously juicy, plenty of oak, fruit forward, more than crowd pleaser but accessible nonetheless. Fine mid purple, the wine actually holds the extra weight nicely, with more structure rather than heavy extraction.
