Chambolle-Musigny & Vougeot
Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot & Gilly-lès-Citeaux
As last year, I have combined Vougeot and Gilly-lès-Citeaux in the Chambolle-Musigny ‘chapter’. In fact, quite a few addresses in the hamlet of Vougeot are actually, from the municipal perspective, in Chambolle-Musigny – Domaines Hudelot-Noëllat and Christian Clerget (winery but not residence in their case) for example. And then if you cross the main road and the railway you find yourself in Gilly-lès-Citeaux. Chambolle-Musigny continues to shadow Volnay (or vice-versa) in that 2022 has produced far better results than 2018 or 2020.
The impact of the frost seems slightly irregular in Chambolle-Musigny in terms of which vineyards were worst affected, but of course none got off unscathed.
