“The village of Morey-St-Denis is often overlooked, sandwiched as it is between the trendier appellations of Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. Our Burgundy guru Jasper Morris will set the record straight with a tasting tour of Morey-St-Denis, including some of the most famous and desirable names. Two village blends courtesy of Edouard Delaunay and Hubert Lignier will introduce us to the style, with Jasper telling us the story behind each wines. Next come two premiers crus from cult producers - Roumier and Perrot-Minot - which arguably still represent a rare smart buy in Burgundy, especially as they start to show the complex wonders of bottle maturity.

Then we experience the two jewels in the crown: the awesome grands crus of Dujac’s Clos St Denis and the legendary Clos des Lambrays, which justifiably rank alongside the very best of red Burgundy. From the 2016 and 2015 vintages, these wines are just entering their peak drinking, exhibiting the true majesty of Morey.”
