The Boissons are not newly-implanted vignerons in Meursault, but the domaine only began to be talked about widely in the second decade of this century. Bernard Boisson has retired and the vineyards have been shared between his son Pierre and his daughter Anne. They make their own wines under their own labels, but share a distribution company to take them to market.
The Boisson holdings are based around village Meursault vineyards –notably separate bottlings of the Grands Charrons (Pierre) and Chevalières (Anne) lieux-dits. Production also includes neighbouring Auxey- Duresses, Monthélie, Pommard and Beaune. There is no particular recipe for their fine racy wines – just meticulous vineyard work, green fingers and common sense.
